Mission Statement
The Master of Science in Nutrition – Accelerated Dietitian Nutritionist Track (ADNT) is an ACEND accredited program designed for individuals with a career goal of becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist.Ìý The program provides a strong foundation in didactic coursework grounded in science to prepare students by integrating supervised experiential learning in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and food service management.
Program Goals and Outcome Measures
Program Goals
- Program Goal #1: The program will produce competent graduates that are ready for entry-level Registered Dietitian Nutritionist positions in the field of nutrition/dietetics.
Program Goal #2: The program will produce graduates that provide leadership or service, professionally or to the community.
Program Completion
- At least 80% of graduates complete program/degree requirements within 2 years and 9 months (150% of the program length).
Graduate EmploymentÌýÌý
- Of graduates who seek employment, 90% are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.Ìý
Employer SatisfactionÌý
- 85% of first employers rate graduates’ preparation for entry-level performance as average, above average, or excellent.ÌýÌý
Registration Exam
- 90% of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.
- The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of the first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.
Program Specific
- 90% of graduates will assess themselves as having satisfactory, more than satisfactory, or outstanding performance requirements for entry-level dietitian nutritionists at one-year post-program completion.
- 75% of graduates will provide leadership or service, professionally or to the community, at 3 years post-program completion.
