The MBA program consists of 33 credit hours of coursework: eight core courses and three electives. For some students, additional foundation courses may be required, depending on transcript review.


Completing an MBA with a human resource management concentration enhances students’ careers and creates opportunities for professional development. 

Students will learn to

  • Make strategic personnel decisions and the ins and outs of employee and labor relations
  • Master attracting, motivating, and retaining the best talent for organizations.


To earn the concentration, students complete the 24-credit-hour Core MBA – along with three human resource management electives for a total of 33 credit hours.


For students who wish to pursue innovation within a company where they are currently employed. Combined with the core MBA curriculum, these classes empower students with the skills to advance in the competitive world of business management.

To earn the concentration, students complete 15 credit hours within specified functional areas of business, along with nine credit hours of innovative management electives and nine credit hours of flex courses for a total of 33 credit hours.

This 4+1 program allows Meredith undergraduate students to earn a graduate degree in just one additional year, saving both time and money. Open to any major at Meredith. 

Students should enroll by their junior year to complete the program in five years. After earning their undergraduate degree, students can complete the Meredith MBA in two semesters and two summer sessions.

Jackson Mathis, ’21, originally came to Meredith wanting to go down the project management route, but after completing an internship with a global software company, discovered a new career direction. With the help of professors and mentors within the MBA program, he transitioned to a position as a senior analyst.
