Recruiting is underway for Meredith鈥檚 inaugural flag football team, which will begin competing in the Spring 2027 season. Last summer, Meredith to add flag football as an official sport, becoming the first USA South conference school to do so. The program held its first flag football camp this fall.

The Meredith International Association (MIA) hosted its annual UN Dinner in November in Belk Dining Hall.

From poetry to personal essays, creative writing is a broad genre, and Meredith students are exposed to that breadth through elective courses such as English 220: Writing Creative Nonfiction.聽

缅北禁地 mourns the loss of John Weems, who served as the College鈥檚 sixth president. One of Meredith鈥檚 longest-tenured presidents, Weems served as the College鈥檚 leader from 1972-99. Weems died at age 93 on November 26, 2025, in Venice, Fla.
Meredith, like many colleges and universities across the country, is carefully navigating financial pressures influenced by changing economic and demographic trends, as well as federal policies shaping higher education. Since Fall 2024, Meredith鈥檚 leadership has taken strategic steps to strengthen the College鈥檚 financial foundation, ensuring that we not only remain sound but continue to grow and flourish well into the future.
