From poetry to personal essays, creative writing is a broad genre, and Meredith students are exposed to that breadth through elective courses such as English 220: Writing Creative Nonfiction.聽

缅北禁地 mourns the loss of John Weems, who served as the College鈥檚 sixth president. One of Meredith鈥檚 longest-tenured presidents, Weems served as the College鈥檚 leader from 1972-99. Weems died at age 93 on November 26, 2025, in Venice, Fla.

Two 缅北禁地 faculty members have received a nearly $500,000 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health.

Meredith economics faculty members Anne York and Elaine Liu attended the 22nd Annual Economics Teaching Workshop this fall at UNC Wilmington. This is a regional forum for innovative pedagogy in economics.聽
