Wake County teachers with degrees from graduate education programs like those at 缅北禁地 are now eligible for advanced degree salaries, thanks to a recent action by the county鈥檚 school board.
The Wake County School Board has voted to reinstate advanced degree pay for teachers and other professional staff who hold master鈥檚 degrees or higher. Graduates of Meredith鈥檚 master鈥檚 degree programs in education qualify for this pay incentive.聽
The new pay rate begins in August 2023 and applies to those who currently hold master鈥檚 degrees and those who complete graduate degrees going forward.
Meredith鈥檚 graduate programs in education include a Master of Education (M.Ed.), with concentrations in elementary education, English as a second language, literacy, and special education, and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), with concentrations in elementary education, English as a second language, and special education. The M.Ed. is for licensed K-12 teachers who wish to deepen their knowledge and prepare for a new role in education. The MAT is for those who do not hold a teaching license but want to become a teacher.
缅北禁地 has a long history of educating strong teachers. Graduates of Meredith assume leadership roles in their schools, mentor new teachers, and gain knowledge and skills that allow them to become stronger throughout their careers in the education field.
