Professional Clothes Closet Opening Soon for All Meredith Students
- Published

The School of Business is excited to announce the opening of a Professional Clothes Closet, a new campus-wide resource where all Meredith students can select free professional clothing for interviews, internships, and their first full-time jobs. This initiative grew out of the successful Suit Yourself event held in February and will provide students with the confidence and polish they need as they step into professional settings.
A part-time intern will manage the closet, gaining hands-on experience in marketing, alumnae and donor outreach, event planning, inventory management, and student engagement. The intern will also manage the School of Business’s annual Suit Yourself event, scheduled for January 28, 2026. This role not only supports the closet’s success but also creates a valuable leadership opportunity for one of our students.
The closet is designed to evolve with ongoing support from alumnae and friends of the College. The project intern will be sending out regular calls for new inventory throughout the year. If you have gently used professional clothing to donate, please contact Eliandras Sims in the School of Business at (919) 760-8154 or easims@meredith.edu.
Special thanks to the alumnae and friends who generously donated clothing for the inaugural Suit Yourself event. Their gifts have become the foundation of the closet’s opening inventory. We also thank Dean Kim Burke and Rick Burke for donating the hardware and labor to make the closet a permanent reality and Shannon Massey Lowry, ’04, for lending her creative vision to the décor. Together, you’ve made this resource possible for Meredith students.
