Meredith Students Compete at DataFest

Six Meredith students represented Ãå±±½ûµØ at the ASA DataFest, a nationally recognized data analysis and statistical computing competition that took place March 28-30, 2025, at NC State University.Â
Dr. Dylan Glotzer and Dr. Emily Lada from the Mathematics and Computer Science Department served on a panel of judges for the competition.
Participating students were Aaliyah Powell, ‘27, Laina Cleaton, ‘26, Yeonwoo Joung, ‘26, Holden McLennan, ‘26, Dempsey Stygles, ‘26, and Alisa Sample, ‘26. The students participated on two teams, and both teams were awarded the Data Communication award for their exemplary communication of the data process, methodology, and results in context.
