缅北禁地 Holds 23rd Annual Celebrating Student Achievement Day

缅北禁地 held its 23rd Annual Celebrating Student Achievement Day on April 10, 2025.聽

The day-long event, known on campus as CSA Day, showcases student research presentations, posters, performances, creative projects, awards, exhibits, and more. The 2025 event featured more than 80 submissions.

Topics included global music, art history, social science, women in literature, biology and health, math, and computer science. Senior fashion students showed their collections, interior design students shared their senior projects, and more. The day also included a Sensory Performance Showcase and the reveal of the 2025 issue of The Colton Review.

Director of Undergraduate Research Whitney Ross Manzo says the day helps emphasize the importance of providing opportunities for students to engage with research.

鈥淪tudies show that participating in undergraduate research has all kinds of benefits, like growing time management, project management, and collaboration skills,鈥 Manzo said.聽

CSA Day provides a place for students to share their work, and it offers examples that might spark interest in research for others.

鈥淐SA Day is one of the best examples we have of how 缅北禁地 is grounded in the liberal arts and prepares students for their future professional lives,鈥 Manzo said.

President Aimee Sapp experienced her first CSA Day this year. In her welcome message, Sapp said CSA Day is a time to 鈥渃ome together as a community to recognize the dedication, curiosity, and intellectual rigor of our students. Research is at the heart of progress, and CSA Day highlights the remarkable ways our students contribute to the pursuit of knowledge 鈥 through independent inquiry, creative exploration, and collaborative discovery with faculty mentors.鈥
