Hospitality and Tourism Club Holds Event

Meredith鈥檚 new Hospitality and Tourism Club kicked off the semester with its first live production — a hands-on event with Raleigh Cheesy.聽
Raleigh Cheesy offers hand-crafted cheese and charcuterie boards in the Raleigh-Durham area.
鈥淲ith her unique sense of style and humor, owner Courtney Bowman walked a sold-out group of club members and faculty through the steps of making our own yummy cheese and charcuterie boards,鈥 said Michael Altman, Director and Instructor, Hospitality and Tourism Management Program.
The event was hosted in Meredith鈥檚 newly renovated Nutrition Lab in Martin Hall. Students got a unique perspective from Bowman about what it was like to start her thriving business in her home and to expand to a brick and mortar location during the pandemic. Raleigh Cheesy is on the verge of opening its second location soon.
