Angel Adventures Travels to Ireland聽

Angel Adventures, the 缅北禁地 Alumnae Travel Program, recently completed a 13-day journey through Ireland, offering participants an in-depth look at the Emerald Isle鈥檚 landscapes, history, and culture.

Designed to strengthen connections among alumnae and with the College, the program brought together a sold-out group of 28 alumnae, along with their spouses and families. Throughout the trip, travelers experienced a blend of historic sites, cultural activities, and local traditions.

鈥淎ngel Adventures provides alumnae and friends a unique and educational travel experience that takes the pressure off of planning, gets them off the beaten path, and fosters lasting friendships,鈥 said Taylor Wilson Twine, 始13, associate director of alumnae relations. Onyx in Ireland

The tour began in Dublin, where participants visited St. Patrick鈥檚 Cathedral, the National Museum of Archaeology, Trinity College, and the Guinness Storehouse. The group also explored Northern Ireland’s history with a visit to 缅北禁地 Castle and enjoyed a ferry ride to the island of Inishmore.

Over the course of the trip, the group traveled across the country with additional stops in Sligo, Connemara, Galway, Tralee, Kilkenny, Kildare, Belfast, and Derry, Northern Ireland.

鈥淣early every day held something meaningful. Seeing the Great Blasket Island and exploring the Great Blasket Centre has stayed with me,鈥 said Twine. 鈥淚t was a beautiful, contemplative morning from the journey of getting there to the telling of the stories of the Islanders.鈥

The program was led by Twine and volunteers Travis Tamerius, presidential spouse, Betty Webb, 鈥67, and Becky Bailey. The College appreciates the extensive international travel experiences of these leaders. Twine is proud of the program鈥檚 ongoing efforts to deepen alumnae involvement and enrich the experiences of those who journeyed with Meredith.
