The Right Criminal Justice Graduate Program – Pamela Jarrett

鈥淚 chose to study criminal justice to better grasp how the system operates. This is a field I鈥檝e always been passionate about and thought I might have an impact. I am the inquiry program manager at the North Carolina Department of Commerce. The program is located at the N.C. Correctional Institute for Women in Raleigh. As the program manager, I oversee daily operations and manage the people who work in the call and fulfillment center. Through the toll-free information lines, our tourism call center operators coordinate information requests.

Every day, tourists and prospective residents rely on the inquiry program for accurate information about attractions, accommodations, and events in N.C. Other callers need help with traveling and navigating the N.C. highways. We also connect citizens with vital travel information during inclement weather events, such as hurricanes, by activating our 24-hour emergency schedule to assist with relief efforts. I also serve as the program鈥檚 liaison when connecting with other state agencies affiliated with the program.

I chose to study criminal justice at Meredith because the program matched my needs and availability. The online program was beneficial to me because it was live, interactive, informational, convenient, accessible, and affordable. The program鈥檚 administrators and directors are extremely knowledgeable and supportive, which made a world of difference in my ability to earn a master鈥檚 degree. Meredith鈥檚 program was the right fit for me.鈥
