Dr. Lisa Delise joined 缅北禁地 as an Assistant Professor of Management in 2018. Dr. Delise holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Haslam School of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a B.S. in Psychology from the Newcomb College of Tulane University. Prior to Meredith, she was a full-time faculty member at Salem College for 5 years, teaching management, statistics, business ethics, strategy, OB, HR, and MIS. She has also taught Business & Professional Communication at UTK and Introduction to Psychology at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, TN. Her teaching style emphasizes group discussion, learning through class activities that bring course concepts to life, and helping students develop effective teamwork skills.
The majority of Dr. Delise鈥檚 research focuses on teams, specifically how teams share information, communicate, and collaborate to develop shared cognition and how teams can be trained to enhance communication and performance. She also enjoys researching cognitive and social processes in supervisor-subordinate dyads and larger groups. Her research has appeared in journals such as Small Group Research and Management Teaching Review and she is an active reviewer for both journals.
