Emily Lada is a professor of statistics and data science and the Data Science Program Coordinator at 缅北禁地.聽聽She has a B.A. in mathematics with a minor in music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in operations research from North Carolina State University. In 2004, she was awarded first place in the IIE Pritsker Doctoral Dissertation Competition for outstanding doctoral research in industrial engineering. Prior to joining Meredith in 2018, she was a Principal Operations Research Specialist and the SAS Simulation Studio team lead at SAS Institute for 13 years. At SAS, she assisted in the definition, design, and validation of software features for Simulation Studio. She also assisted the SAS/OR consulting group with large-scale simulation projects in areas ranging from neonatal intensive care to pharmaceutical manufacturing and criminal-justice administration. She has published numerous papers in the Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) Proceedings as well as the journals of ACM, IEEE, IISE, INFORMS, and The OR Society (UK).
