Profile

Dr. Chelsea Cutright is an Assistant Professor of International Studies at 缅北禁地 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She earned her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Kentucky. Her research explores the intersections of gender, sport, and culture, with projects focusing on youth volunteering, sports-centered NGOs in Tanzania, and identity among women runners. At Meredith, Dr. Cutright teaches courses on cultural anthropology, global sports and culture, women’s history, and gender politics. She is also the editor of NEOS, the publication of the American Anthropological Association’s Anthropology of Children and Youth Interest Group. Dr. Cutright serves as the faculty advisor for both the HIPR Club and the African Student Union.
