Belk Dining Hall renovations were completed in Summer 2025, thanks to funding from Aramark. The space has been reimagined with a modern design and more stations with a variety of menu options.

The highlights include sleek new flooring and cabinetry, upgraded lighting to brighten the space, fresh paint in warm and welcoming tones, digital signage, and new furniture. State-of-the-art kitchen equipment has also been installed, which will mean faster, fresher, and tastier food.聽

The design gives Belk West and Belk East two different environments. Belk West is the formal side that is perfect for events and special occasions, while Belk East is student-friendly with soft seating, cozy booths, vibrant murals, and interactive elements.

More food stations have been installed with increased options such as vegan and vegetarian, pizza, expo kitchen, dessert, deli, all-day continental breakfast, homestyle meals, salad bar, coffee bar, and a new gluten-free bar.聽

Jayme Aimalefoa, director of dining, also says more menu updates are on the way.聽

鈥淏elk Dining Hall is now a dynamic, inclusive space designed to nourish both body and community,鈥 said Aimalefoa. 鈥淭he space has been completely reimagined, bringing fresh energy, modern design, and an all-around elevated vibe to daily meals for the campus community.鈥

2013 Renovation
In 2013, Belk Dining Hall went through extensive renovations on the upper and lower level due to a gift from Aramark and the Parents Council. These enhancements allow for a better dining experience and allow for more flexible spaces for events.
