DESCRIPTION:Faculty Distinguished Lecture Kent Lyman\, Doing the Time Warp: An Exploration of the Power of Music to Connect Us Across Time \nJoin Dr. Kent Lyman for an exploration of the power of music to connect people in powerful ways. \nDuring his lecture-recital\, we will get a glimpse of the passion and creative energy of Beethoven\, the meticulous attention to detail in the piano teaching of Chopin\, and the tragic story of Lili Boulanger\, destined to become one of the great composers of the 20th century before her untimely death at age 24. And there might be a surprising twist somewhere along the way! \nThe Faculty Distinguished Lecture is presented by the Convocation Committee and co-sponsored by the Ãå±±½ûµØ Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. DESCRIPTION:Puppy Love is a wellness event focused on stress relief\, self-care\, and fostering healthy relationships—including the one with yourself! \nIn partnership with the Ãå±±½ûµØ Counseling Center and Freedom Ride Animal Rescue\, students can spend time with fostered puppies in structured sessions while learning about pet adoption and fostering.
