Meredith Abroad Summer Program: United Kingdom: Leadership and Women’s Empowerment

July 2, 2026 - July 23, 2026
A river flowing by an old stone house in England with beautiful landscape.

Based in the heart of London in beautiful Regents Park, this three-week program includes day trips to the Cotswolds, Kew Gardens, the Houses of Parliament, and St. Paul鈥檚 Cathedral in addition to local museums and a theatre show at the Globe. An independent travel weekend is included in the schedule.

Through this program, you’ll develop life skills through cultural immersion and historical exploration. You’ll discover how people have thrived through uncertainty across centuries, from medieval merchants in the Cotswolds to contemporary entrepreneurs breaking barriers.

You will find an almost overwhelming variety of opportunities in theatre, music, dance, art, museums, and historic sites, including a tour of Parliament. Mornings will engage you in skill-building workshops focused on emotional intelligence, resilience, and creative problem solving.

Through day trips, you will get to explore memorable sites in England such as Cotswolds and Kew Gardens, practicing uncertainty navigation while building confidence in unfamiliar environments. The rest of most days and weekends are free for sightseeing, independent travel, and, of course, study.

One weekend break while in London allows you to travel independently! Travel in Great Britain doesn’t get any better than a few days in Edinburgh, Scotland; beautiful York; or the Lake District鈥攐r you can stay in London to enjoy day trips from there. You can also travel beyond the U.K. The options are almost endless!
