We’re excited to announce Audrey P. Hubbard’s graduation recital on Saturday, March 22, at 5p.m., in Jones Chapel!
Audrey Hubbard is a current senior at 缅北禁地, where she is completing a degree in vocal music performance. After graduating from college, she hopes to enter into the convent of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, also known as the Salesian Sisters. This convent follows the charism of serving the young, especially those who are at-risk. The Salesian Order places a large emphasis on music education, especially as St. John Bosco, the founder of the order said, 鈥淎 school without music, is like a body without a soul.鈥� While at Meredith, Audrey has had the privilege of singing with Chorale and Encore, as well as having the opportunity to play with the Meredith Ringers. With Chorale she has had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, singing Vivaldi鈥檚 Gloria. Audrey has also had the opportunity to intern with North Carolina Opera in their educational outreach program, performing an adaptation of Mozart鈥檚 Don Giovanni, called Who鈥檚 Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf.
