Acclaimed author Tracy K. Smith, whose memoir Ordinary Light is Meredith鈥檚 2025 Summer Reading Program selection, will present a public lecture. A book signing by the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and memoirist will follow the lecture. The co-sponsors for Smith鈥檚 visit are the Lillian Parker Wallace Lecture series and the Mary Lynch Johnson chair, established by the Department of English.
