Application Requirements
Academic Transcript 鈥 Official
First Year听applicants must submit an official high school transcript. Request your transcript from your school鈥檚 registrar or guidance counselor.
Transfer听applicants must submit all official college transcripts from every college, university, or other post-secondary institution attended. Request the official transcripts to be sent to Meredith Admissions from the institutions. If you have less than 24 transferable credits, you will also need to submit your high school transcript.
Activities
The personal investment you make to our common good is important. Applicants are encouraged to provide information about extra-curricular/community involvement that demonstrates how you are positively impacting your community. Relevant experiences include, but are not limited to, involvement with community organizations, employment, caring for your family, clubs, the arts, athletics, leadership opportunities, honors societies, volunteer work or community service.
Application Fee
Freshman, transfer,听补苍诲听补诲耻濒迟听applicants must submit a $40 non-refundable fee or acceptable fee waiver.听Readmission applicants must submit a $40 non-refundable fee. .听You may also pay by mailing a check or money order to the Office of Admissions, 3800 缅北禁地 Street, Raleigh, NC 27607-5298. Cash is also accepted.
Please note that application fees are non-refundable.
Character Statement Answered
Applicants must indicate 鈥測es鈥 or 鈥渘o鈥 to听this two-part question. An explanation is required for any 鈥測es鈥 responses.
Courses-in-Progress Provided
First Year,听transfer,听Wings degree completion, and听Wings second degree applicants must provide a list of all courses in which they are currently enrolled or an explanation of how time has been spent if not currently enrolled.
Credit Evaluation Complete
Completed by the Office of the Registrar and reflects transferable credits and general education requirements met after review of official college, university, or post-secondary institutional transcripts.
Early Decision Agreement
First Year Early Decision applicants for the fall term听submit this form听agreeing to the terms of the Early Decision plan.
Essay
A writing sample is an important component of your application. Your response provides deeper insight into who you are 鈥 your passions, your strengths and what you will bring to the Meredith community. Your essay helps us understand the experiences that have shaped you.

Applicants using Meredith鈥檚 application are required to submit their thoughtful response to the following prompt (maximum length should be no longer than 500 words):
Please describe how you鈥檝e familiarized yourself with 缅北禁地 and two aspects of our community that attract and inspire you.
Transfer and Wings applicants:
Please听submit a听personal essay on a topic of your choice (at least 250 words):
- Transfer听applicants may wish to address their reasons for leaving their current institution to attend Meredith.
- Wings applicants听may address their desire to return to college in general and why Meredith is an appropriate place to achieve that goal.
Home School Recommendation
First Year home-school applicants must submit听two letters of recommendation; one must be from a non-relative.
Interview with Admissions Officer
Applicants may be required to interview with an admissions officer.
