Our Accounting Program
Accounting is the language of business, and it鈥檚 the most common undergraduate degree held by CEOs of the largest corporations in the U.S. because accountants typically understand the business so well they are frequently considered for management roles outside of accounting.
If you鈥檙e interested in numbers, the communication of financial information, corporate finance, software programs, or data analytics, then studying accounting may be the perfect fit for you.

Meredith鈥檚 undergraduate business programs prepares graduates with the skills and knowledge needed for today鈥檚 competitive and complex global business environment.

Softball player and accounting major Avery Puryear, 鈥25, knew Meredith was the right place for her when she toured campus and met her coach. Thanks to a supportive environment and guidance from her faculty mentor, she will begin her Master鈥檚 in Accounting at NC State in the fall.

Through multiple internships, leadership opportunities, and challenging academics, Broyhill Fellow Machaela Murrell, ’24, combined her interests in music and finance to identify a career path that was right for her.

The School of Business hosted Suit Yourself, an event where students could receive free professional clothing and styling assistance, for the first time on January 29.听听

Meredith student Taylor Elias, 鈥25, was selected to attend a national leadership conference hosted by Dean Dorton, one of the largest accounting and financial advisory firms in the Southeast.

Provost Matthew Poslusny announced on April 29 that Kimberly 鈥淜im鈥 Gladden Burke, Ph.D., will be the new dean of the 缅北禁地 School of Business, effective July 1, 2021.听听
